Since retirement, Tim Fischer has also taken on at least one company directorship, that of the very old Australian Agricultural Company established in 1824. This company operated the first freight railway of any kind in Australia.

The article is a bit POV and talks about current political history without referring to the appropriate articles. Andjam 15:49, 24 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

No mention of his keenness for recreational walking, and his annual trips to the Snowys over summer.

I believe the section about the austistic son attacking the media is incorrect (and that Martin/Molloy ridiculed this) - from memory it was (late) Senator Mal Colston's son who did this. Ninevah 05:23, 31 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Frankly, whether it is Tim Fischer's or Mal Colston's son, the reference to the son's behaviour is innapropriate as it adds nothing to our understanding of Tim Fischer. Reporting the condition is 'fair use' as it explains some of Tim's concerns, but going beyond that is simply intruding into his son's private life with no justification. If someone wants to undersand how difficult autism is they should look up the appropriate article in Wiki, there is no need to illustrate it with examples of his son's behaviour. I have deleted the reference. Anyone is welcome to debate my amendment here. Regards, Tban 13:48, 5 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Harrison Fischer (the autistic son) isn't old enough to be attacking the media. He is only about 10 years old.
Perhaps marriage details and recreational interests (if reliable sources can be cited) could be moved to a "personal life" section? Dbromage 03:24, 9 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm removing the photo of Mr. Fischer on a train, as it is under copyright, and is not essential to this article (there is another portrait of him here). -Pete (talk) 21:25, 16 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
