That toothy grin
editO'Kelly is unmistakably the happy hubby in a mid-1960s Folger's Coffee commercial excerpted about 30 minutes into the recent PBS American Experience documentary "1964". That sort of thing would be subtrivia in most actor bios, but O'Kelly's known appearances are so few that it would probably be worth mentioning in the article if it can be properly cited. 66.81.242.148 (talk) 08:33, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
- Here's the silly commercial in question. Unfortunately there's very little in print about this man outside his appearance in Targets. There also seems to be some doubt over his final film appearance. AMG says he appeared in the trashy horror film Schoolgirls in Chains (1973), but IMDb makes no mention of this, and lists his final film as The Grasshopper (1970). - UPDATE: Schoolgirls in Chains is on YouTube under the alternative title Abducted. I couldn't be bothered watching the whole sordid business, but O'Kelly's name does not appear in the credits. If he did act in the film, then it must have been an unbilled role.--Muzilon (talk) 01:02, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
R.I.P.?
editAccording to the unreliable IMDb, he is no more: March 12, 1941, Los Angeles—January 4, 1990, Los Angeles, age 48. Can anyone confirm from a reliable source? 66.81.242.193 (talk) 11:05, 25 May 2015 (UTC)
- That would seem to be confirmed by the California Death Index and Social Security records. I've added a newspaper article about his 1968 marriage to actress Evelyn Rudie (apparently the marriage was annulled within a few months) which confirms that his legal name was Timothy Patrick Wright. There are other vital records for a Timothy Patrick Wright in FamilySearch.org which match these dates of birth/death, but I suppose it would be a question of finding reliable secondary sources confirming that it's the same guy. - I've just updated the article with a few details from his death certificate. His occupation is listed as "Metaphysician, Holistic Medicine, Self-Employed, 10 years", which I guess explains what field he moved into after he quit acting. I have also found a couple of independent references that suggest he may have adopted the name "Shiloh",[1] although there isn't really enough detail to incorporate that information into the article at this point.
