"Upcoming Releases"
editThis section was originally titled "Upcoming Releases/Speculation". Per WP:V and WP:OR, there should be no unsourced speculation in this article. I'm not an expert on the subject, so could the editors who've been contributing to this article please provide references from reliable sources that confirm the existence of all these supposedly upcoming songs? Thanks. --Kurt Shaped Box (talk) 20:07, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
"Singles produced" section
editAn edit war has ensued about the merit of this section, so I have protected this page from editing for a while. Please discuss the removal of the section and find a consensus instead of reverting back and forth. It should also be noted that bold edits are not vandalism. De728631 (talk) 14:04, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
All of the songs (including singles) that Timbaland produced are already listed and hyperlinked, so the "singles produced" section is meaningless. No need to list the songs twice. Also a note to add, it appears there are sockpuppets being used, I see three IP addresses that coincidentally reverted my edits and these are all their "first time" edits in the past 20 hours. - That doesn't look like sockpuppetry to me. Most of the recent anonymous edits come from the 84.138 range. Although static, these individual IPs are always newly assigned once you connect to the provider's server. De728631 (talk) 16:12, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- They just look fishy to me I find the edits far from a coincidence. Also one last note, the user appears to be doing the same unconstructive edits on Cry Me a River (Justin Timberlake song). What will become of the "produced songs section" in the mean time? WillieLimpD (talk) 17:06, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- Until there is consensus to remove it, the section will stay where it is, and only administrators are currently able to edit the page. If you would like to have some uncontroversial edits performed please open a new section on this talk page and put the template {{edit protected}} there, with a short explanation of what should be done. Since this on-and-off-reverting continued I have again locked the article. Please take this time to discuss the removal of the "Singles produced" section. If this kind of edit warring resumes after the protection period has run out, account blocks will be given. De728631 (talk) 18:58, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
- As I previously stated, the section "produced singles" is meaningless because all of those singles are already (and have been) on this page and hyperlinked at that, so the need to list them a second time is irrelevant. Second, if the user is not "satisfied" there is a page linked with the chartings of the "produced singles" called Timbaland discography it's even noted in Template:Timbaland singles. WillieLimpD (talk) 19:11, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
- I can see where you're coming from. Unfortunately the involved IP user hasn't yet commented on this page, but they complained on my user talk, writing how they spent hours to create what they think is a thorough work that can't be found elsewhere. I have now asked for input from WikiProject Record Production, so maybe we can get a real discussion started and find consensus. De728631 (talk) 22:32, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
- I agree that there is no need to list the same information twice on a page. However, the proposed "Singles produced" section provides peak chart positions and certifications, which are not already on the page. How about reorganizing the page to be similar to Timbaland discography:
- Add a lead section
- Albums produced - in the same format as the "Singles produced" section, and without the track listing for each album
- Singles produced per the IP's edits
- Unreleased tracks - in a table format with references

- I like your point. Here's a suggestion, we could include the "produced singles" in Timbaland discography, since that page has a partial list of singles with the charting positions already. We could also use the "See also" or the "About"/"Redirect" header on here to inform readers of the addition of "produced singles" being on the Timbaland discography page. I think the format of this page is okay where it is, but the need to omit the red-links on various items will be taken into consideration, seeing that's been an issue for quite sometime. Remodeling
editI was thinking about slightly changing the layout here to look more like this, as it's a little easier to read, and not cluttered by chart positions (which are rather trivial in this particular context). --Blastmaster11 (talk) 21:39, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
Apologize?
editIs that really called Timbaland feat OneRepublic and not the other way around? What goes around comes around and to be quite honest, Zomby changed the Reark song "Natalia's Song" a Lot more.. Let me know, so I'll just erase it. Robert Hales had the original on the hit YouTube video. I might be wrong Sucker for All (talk) 18:46, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
