This article was flagged for not being notable enough and for being spammy. TimeMap is software developed by the University of Sydney for research and industry which has been around for over 10 years being used by Electronic Cultural Atlas Initiative (in Wikipedia). It is mentioned in the Wiki pages on Historical Geographic Information System (Historical GIS) and Animated mapping, hence I think it is a worthy addition to Wikipedia.
Could someone indicate how the entry might be 'cleaned up' to avoid the supposed conflict of interest? If there is indeed a conflict of interest because the project and software is being described by its developer, how do you avoid it? It's not as though we're trying to sell it, it is Open Source, and although widely used it is something we are no longer developing particularly actively.
