The whole EU debate had been occurring since the 1970s, with specific milestones, i.e. UKIP/Farage, Black Wednesday, UK opting to not join the Euro...

"An in/out referedum" - D. Cameron. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLsRA5X8nUI 2013: "The Prime Minister promises to hold a referendum on Britain's membership of the EU in the next Parliament if a Conservative government is elected."

Yes, but this timeline only covers events POST REFERENDUM. It clearly says that in the first sentence of the article. Any events before 2016 do not specifically relate to Brexit, and thus are not covered here. Mgasparin (talk) 03:09, 3 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

New version

edit

Hi all. I've been working for a while now on a new version of this article (viewable here) that I hope will befit Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I've updated the timeline to include events from March to December 2020, but also gone further back and included events from David Cameron's Bloomberg speech onwards. I've added a lead and a couple more sections, and some relevant media where appropriate. I'd like to copy the new version over as soon as possible, but I recognise that this is a big change, so, before I do, does anyone have any comments or feedback? Thanks, A Thousand Doors (talk | contribs) 16:38, 28 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

If there are no objections then I'll copy the new version over now. Thanks, A Thousand Doors (talk | contribs) 15:51, 4 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
