Scope
editBasically, we need a chronological list of each state change in status. Material exists at Decriminalization_of_cannabis_in_the_United_States, but organized geographically, not chronological. --HectorMoffet (talk) 02:10, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

Updating timeline (prohibition)
editI'll be updating the timeline to include a the history of prohibition at the state and federal levels. I have a little bit of concern that this will become too saturated with information or atleast go beyond the original scope of the article as it is a timeline of "legalization" rather than prohibition. If I feel like this is happening, I'll split the article into two separate articles. --WikiTryHardDieHard (talk) 00:17, 12 July 2014 (UTC)
April 2015 overhaul
editI'm going to begin to overhaul this article. Please take note of the standardizations and fix ups for future inclusions:
- All instances of "marijuana" should be interchanged with "cannabis" as the two are synonymous and to keep with the article's title.
- Use this syntax when adding entries:
""Year"": ""State"" ""type of legislation"" cannabis. ""Date of effect"".
(All other info can be included in other pages, unless the bill has a specific wikipage to link. This one should be clean and focus only on the timeline.) --WikiTryHardDieHard (talk) 20:13, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
