Copying and pasting within Wikipedia requires attribution
editI noticed that a lot of the content here appears to be identical to content already present in Canada convoy protest, suggesting it has been copied from that article and pasted here. Please note that Wikipedia's content license requires that any text reproduced from Wikipedia must be attributed to the original contributors, including when it is reproduced elsewhere on Wikipedia. For editors working on both articles, please familiarize yourself with the guideline on copying within Wikipedia. The easiest way to accomplish attribution is to say so in your edit summary, but for content that's already been copied there are templates you can use to correct attribution retrospectively. The guideline itself has better instructions, and please ask if you have questions. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 17:59, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks Ivanvector This is a very useful template to have. I will work on that. As you can see I did mention it on both talk pages but not on each edit description. I will look into the retrospective attribution.Oceanflynn (talk) 18:16, 22 February 2022 (UTC) As I begin to work on this, I realize that much of the content in both articles was written by Oceanflynn, who does not need to be attributed twice, do they? I deleted one sentence from the lead that was not. I am fine-combing to look for more.Oceanflynn (talk) 18:35, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
- Strictly no if you're only using your own work. The guideline recommends that you do anyway, to err on the side of caution, especially on articles with as deep a contribution history as that one (currently 2,204 edits by 289 contributors, all within 30 days). - Ivanvector I will keep looking for content that is copied exactly combing through histories and the Who Wrote That app. This edit summary template is very useful. Thank you for again for calling this to my attention.Oceanflynn (talk) 00:04, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Oceanflynn: in case it might save you time, you don't need to list the contributors by name in your edit summary. Just providing a link to the source article meets the attribution requirements. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 00:28, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks @Ivanvector: That might help. My process is quite slow. But most so far have been my own. I am also just rephrasing some entries as I proceed.Oceanflynn (talk) 02:08, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
- This might take awhile and most of the content repeated in both articles was contributed by me, therefore "my own work". I will revisit the article from time to time to keep checking for any entries by other editors that I have missed. I would ask for patience as I am concurrently working on updating articles.Oceanflynn (talk) 22:34, 23 February 2022 (UTC)

Citations in lead
editUntil this article is more developed, citations are being added to the lead. The convoy has been controversial.Oceanflynn (talk) 20:37, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
Formatting
editI've made a bit of an adjustment to the formatting, so that dates are repeated, example:
- Month Day: Only one thing happens.
- Month Day:
- This happened.
- That also happened.
Subtle change, but it helps readers visually look through the article. -- Zanimum (talk) 22:22, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
It is a great improvement. Thanks @Zanimum:Oceanflynn (talk) 22:28, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
The Rouleau Inquiry
editThe Rouleau inquiry, also known as the Public Order Emergency Commission (POEC), or Inquiry into Emergencies Act provides more detail on the timing of events related to the protests. Related content is being added.Oceanflynn (talk) 16:36, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
