Updating and reformatting refs

The refs needs to be reformatted, and brought up to date. Also, it would be helpful if we know whether these are IDF or PNA-derived figures. El_C 20:59, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

Incidentally, I'm for deleting this article and am against having such an account — but there was strong opinion to keep it, so now those who were for the idea need to maintain the entry so it remains useful in relation to the main one. El_C 21:04, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

Sources?

This is very obviously based on IDF figures and cites no sources, can we please have citations, sources and some sort of neutral account as well?

Also, a summary showing the number of casualties would be very helpful, it should include IDF casualties, Palestinian militant casualties, and civilian casualties from both sides. Amjra 00:21, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

Never mind, just saw that the references section was all screwed up - will fix this now Amjra 00:35, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

Major work

I find that many of the strikes seem like they have been written twice, which is hard to show as most of the news sources have since expired. Sometimes they are just written in different words, or others will include the newer news. For example, it might say something like: "The IDF killed one Hamas militant." Then, the news later in the day may bring it to a total of 2 militants killed, and that is listed IN ADDITION to the one before it. Thus, the casualties may not be so accurate. For example, on July 3, this source [1] and others did not report more than 1 death of a militant. I caught an instance like this recently, but now I do not how to fix the possible errors earlier in the conflict. I think it will take a lot of research and input, and I appreciate any help. --Shamir1 21:17, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Most casualty info comes from numerous sources and is checked very well. I make sure they are not repeated.--Spoil29 20:15, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

POV dispute

I dispute content of this article, which includes information related to causalities in 2006 Israel-Gaza clashes. There is more appropriate article Violence in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict 2006, where all this information belongs. Not here. -- tasc wordsdeeds 08:48, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

The problem is that no info from casualties in the West Bank was added here, which makes it exclusively Israel-Gaza violence. Maybe your right, but how will we solve this problem? --Spoil29 23:08, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
This article should not be expanded as conflict was over in August! rest of info belongs elsewhere, e.g. to above mentioned violence article. -- tasc wordsdeeds 14:24, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
As far as I am aware, the 2006 Israel-Gaza conflict is not over, there are operations there almost daily.--Spoil29 03:47, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
As far as I am aware, they are part of al-Aqsa intifada, and not 'conflict', unless you'd like to have also 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 'conflicts' as well. -- tasc wordsdeeds 10:04, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

Haaretz

Guys if possible do not use Haaretz web because it is not permanant. Peace. --Nielswik(talk) 04:54, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

totally disputed

I put totally disputed tag on the top for the following reasons:

  • conflict is over according to wp
  • conflict ended on 26th of November.
  • all causalities and events dated December, January and February shall be removed
  • This article is an attempt to make news agency out of wp - but it's just a side note.

--132.73.80.97 15:27, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

The fact that two sides agreed on a cease-fire and one is not obeying it does not make the conflict over. Acts of war are still being committed by one side. --Shamir1 08:01, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
They were committed by that side even before the conflict. As I noted before, this article became a joke. A failed attempt to be reliable source and a news agency. Which wp is clearly not. --132.73.80.97 08:59, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
Anon: kindly get a user ID, you cannot do radical things and remain anonymous. What is the "joke" here is exactly? There is none! Thanks, IZAK (talk) 08:27, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Bot report : Found duplicate references !

In the last revision I edited, I found duplicate named references, i.e. references sharing the same name, but not having the same content. Please check them, as I am not able to fix them automatically :)

Merger

I propose the contents of this article be moved to:

Thoughts? ~Asarlaí 11:47, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

I think it should be merged into the "Violence" articles. It should not be merged into the "List" articles, as those are strictly lists of a particular type of event. Jalapenos do exist (talk) 23:18, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
Well, all of the above articles are timelines. The "Violence" articles list all major incidents, while the others list only rocket/mortar attacks on Israel. The contents of this article can be added to all of the above. ~Asarlaí 00:07, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
  • Support - I'm coming back to this issue, following the merger of Violence article into "Timeline of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict", at this stage it seems to me this article needs to be merged into "Violence in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict 2006".Greyshark09 (talk) 14:53, 30 October 2011 (UTC)
