first measurements (Satellite geodesy) in which year ?

edit

In de:Alfred_Wegener#Späte_Rehabilitation, I read the sentence

Der schon von Wegener geforderte direkte Nachweis der Kontinentalverschiebung konnte mittlerweile durch satellitengeodätische Messungen erbracht werden. (~ the direct evidence already demanded by Wegener could in the meantime be provided by Satellite geodesy measurements.

I would be happy to know who / which team and which satellite were the first to achieve such measurements. thanks in advance for feedback Search'n'write (talk) 07:41, 12 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
