Proposal: change no contest to win for bradley

I dont think one decision by California State Athletic Commission should speak for the whole boxing world. All references agree Bradley dominated the frist 3 rounds in the fight againnst nate campbell, and the referee also ruled it a win for Bradley. Either of the following decisions should be used instead of No Contest:

• Technical decision
• Referee technical decision

There is a lot of mess in that section. The Lamont Petersen fight is under the Bradley-Campbell fight.

About the Bradley-Campbell fight: the fight is officially a No Contest. That is California State Athletic Comission that decides that, not random fans. The rules states very clearly, that if a fight is stopped before the end of the fourth round by a cut caused by an accidental headbutt, it is a No Contest. So everything is according to the rules. So I will bring this section in order in a couple of days, if there are no protests.

Fighting out of?

For the Bradley-Alexander fight, he was announced as fighting out of North Palm Springs. [1] I think that is where he is always announced as fighting out of. Is there any reason not to change the first sentence to reflect that?--Don King's hair (talk) 20:55, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

Vegan diet?

Shouldn't Bradley's vegan diet be mentioned on the page? Professional Record =

Is the Bradley vs. Pacquio content in the note section necessary? Makes it all bunched up and unorganized. Just leave that in the section about the fight and not the professional record section. -Mcanmoocanu 20:07, 5 August 2012 (UTC)

WBO junior-welterweight champion

That doesn't explain anything. Junior welterweight is just another name for Light welterweight. The official way to categorize it is Light Welterweight. Even your precious boxrec list it that way [3]. And all these links you keep posting when I gave you links and articles proving Tim bradley goes by Jr. but you didn't seem to care about that so why should I about this? --2Nyce (talk) 13:15, 11 March 2013 (UTC)

Yes, junior welterweight is the same weight class as light welterweight. Who made the name official? The WBO calls it the junior welterweight division. When listing a championship, we should use the name that is actually written on the belt. For example "Bradley opted to keep the WBO junior welterweight title."[4]

BoxRec has their own way for doing a whole lot of things that I don't agree with. If you would like to rename this article please discuss it in a seperate section. Response to third opinion request:

Official names dont necessarily mean anything. Per: Wikipedia:OFFICIAL. Take a read of that. But generally, if you were reading a boxing publication... which name would be used? Chances are that we should use that one. Just as we wouldn't insist on Guinea Pig being called Cavia porcellus, unless there was a specific reason to do so. The most respected boxing publication The Ring uses WBO junior welterweight. For example in Bradley eyes Pacquiao, discusses drug testing it says "RingTV.com spoke to WBO junior welterweight titleholder Tim Bradley..."--Don King's hair (talk) 19:28, 27 May 2013 (UTC)

Other sources are in agreement on using "WBO junior welterweight" when discussing the title. The New York Times writes "He was referring to the W.B.O. junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley ..." in [5]. • Oppose - the naming convention should be based on what their WP:COMMONNAME is. Based on the majority of references used in the article itself, they make no mention of the suffix, Jr. As such I am inclined to leave the article as it currently is.
