editThe article states the fund was a short-bias fund... this is actually not the case. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.6.127.4 (talk) 23:09, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Contesting PROD
editDelete as the article is self-edited and mostly not note-worithy. NPOVD is also pretty irrelevant but unverifiable. 24.212.208.108(talk) 01:41, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
I'm contesting the PROD because after some searching, I found that the guy received more than a small amount of coverage. I'm not entirely convinced that he's notable, but I found enough to where I think that the article should be discussed through AfD rather than deleted via PROD. He has just enough notability established over a longer period of time to where it would be better as an AfD.Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 07:14, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
- I might nominate it myself, actually. I'm neutral, but there's enough here to where I can see where it can be argued on both sides.Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 07:16, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
""Delete"" Not noteworthy, self-promotion. ````
Get Rich Quick
edit- This article is an advertisement for a "get-rich-quick by paying me your money" Web site.
I don't doubt Mr. Sykes operates a perfectly legal business, but neither do I doubt that he'll show up here and remove my recent edits that offer a couple of counter-points to his postings here. Gee, I guess there'll be a lack of "consensus" so it'll need to revert! I love Wikipedia.... 32.214.171.44 (talk) 18:28, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
Adding to Controversy Section
editSurprised that this section didn't have as much as it needs. It was recently brought to my attention on Twitter that Sykes has a past of making racially offensive comments. Doing some more research, while discussing with Redditors, we found some unbelievable evidence. Adding a "Racism" section on here because we feel that it's important for the public to know what kind of (multiple) behaviors to expect from Sykes. The most recent incident even got mainstream attention. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.201.118.93 (talk) 07:43, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
Recently brought to my attention on a new thread on Reddit under R/Daytrading that Skyes is continuing to peddle a 7k course on investing. The thread once again points out all his utter BS. The existence of this Wiki page is one of the keys to his continued shenaigans being successful. More importantly the page should be updated to reflect a huge lawsuit against him and his company JewMon.

"AMAZING! Software Salesman Tim Sykes is outed (we knew he would be eventually) for pirating Trading Software and passing it off as his own (alleged). Interestingly using "agents" and out of State entities as ratholes for the alleged fraud. Absoultelty nothing in the Article about how the GUY is probably a scammer
editThe guy is selling get-rich schemes that are highly likley to be a scam with a lot of coverage about how people should be vary of trusting him with their money. A lot of the claims are linked to hard to find sources and the controversy section is horrible. Zubin12 (talk) 11:16, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
Re-added Controversy Section
editThere is plenty of objective evidence for controversies that Sykes has been involved in (both benefiting him and otherwise.) I have no dog in this fight but he's obviously no stranger to controversy and removing that information from his bio serves his interests (convincing people to pay for his advice) but not the interests of the public (getting a full picture of who Sykes is.) I've researched and reworked the section that was previously deleted to be more neutral so that readers can make up their own minds. Tollsjo (talk) 00:50, 26 October 2018 (UTC)
This article needs a major cleanup
editI can see how it looks like it is an advertisement for him. Wouldn't be surprised if it was a paid for article. . TwinTurbo (talk) 19:39, 1 February 2021 (UTC)
Jewish
editSeveral of the sources list that his original seed money was from his Bar Mitzvah. I've no idea which denomination he's with. But an additional detail — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.184.193.181 (talk) 09:15, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
