The above request is inappropriate for Wikipedia; editors that create or contribute to articles cannot assume ownership of them. See Wikipedia:Ownership of articles for more information. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that anyone can edit, and editors are encouraged to do so; it goes against Wikipedia's premise for editors to ask for permission from another editor prior to editing an unprotected article. Perhaps consider developing a version in your user space, such as in your user sandbox, for your school project.
