Tino Mawoyo made his international test debut during the only test between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh at Harare, Aug 4-8, 2011. He made 43 runs in the first innings of that match spending 116 minutes and facing 76 balls. In the second innings he made 35 from 95 deliveries and spending slightly more time than the first spending 121 minutes at the crease. Tino's level of concentration at the crease have impressed fans and plaudits alike. In his second test match at Bulawayo Sep 1-5, 2011 Tino stepped up the gears and showed great maturity, skill, patienace and tenacity in becoming only the 3rd Zimbabwean batsman to carry his bat. In carrying his bat he achieved a rare feat in cricket and it was achieved 47 times before his exploits. He batted through the zimbabwean innings facing 453 deliveries and spending a staggering 645 minutes at the crease. The other Zimbaweans to achieve the feat are Grant Flower and Mark Dekker and all three achieved this against the same opponents (Pakistan). For Tino this was a perfect start to his Test career. Although he made only 12 in his second innings he has already shown the world that he is a talented young batsman. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mufakose (talk • contribs) 15:56, 23 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
