Hello, I will be reviewing your article soon. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 14:45, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
Infobox
edit- See genre on the section below.
Lead
edit- "Title" is a song by American singer and songwriter Meghan Trainor for her debut extended play (EP), Title (2014), and debut studio album Title (2015). Trainor collaborated with Kevin Kadish during the songwriting process, while production was handled by Kadish. → This is quite bad, confusing and soudns like the prodution was done by someone else but Kadish. Example: "Title" is the second track from American singer and songwriter Meghan Trainor debut extended play, Title (2014). The song was later included on Trainor's debut studio album, Title (2015), as its ninth track. Trainor collaborated with Kevin Kadish during the songwriting process, while production was handled by the latter.
- "Title" is influenced by soca, and additionally incorporates elements of folk and ska; its lyrics see Trainor demanding her lover to put a name on their relationship status. → lyrics can't "see" things, perhaps portray?, demosntrate? If it's influenced by soca, then it's genre on the infobox is not correct.
- Music video, critical reception, chart performance, certifications and live performances should be mentioned here as well.
Background
edit- Use your words a little bit more.
- State the mastering, mixing and other personnel in this section as well
- Re-name the section as "Background and production"
Composition
edit- Now you call the song "soca-pop", as in the reference. Be consistent.
- Missing reference for "soca-pop".
- "It blends horns and background vocals with ukulele folk-pop and island percussion morphed into a programmed beat. It contains handclaps and subtle modern sound effects. Trainor uses an assertive throwback aural tone on the song" → not on given reference.
Chart performance
edit- This section is so poor it should be merged with the Charts section. However you should include the information of the unmentioned chart "see charts section below".
- Make a reference of number one weeks spent in each chart as well if the debut was the higher peak or not.
- State the certifications and when they were awarded.
- Missing references.
- If after this this section has comprehensive text (it should), just leave it here.
Music video
editBackground and concept
edit- Fine.
Synopsis
edit- "The video begins with Trainor performing "Title" accompanied by her ukulele and background dancers" → The video begins with Trainor performing "Title" in her ukulele and accompanied by background dancers
- Replace the word perform for other. You say it like 5 times in a row.
Live performances
edit- She reprised "Title" in a session for the National Post on October 14, 2014. → In the same year, October 14, she reprised the track in a session for the National Post.
- Link for "MTrain Tour".
Credits and personnel
edit- You don't need two columns here with the personal.
Charts
edit- Missing one chart. The ultratip of WA.
Certifications
edit- Fine.
References
edit- Some references have publisher and work, other only have work. Choose either.
- Idolator and Nj.com shouldn't be italicized.
- No dead links so far.
External links
edit- Remove the audio since you have a sample.
Overall GA review
edit- Please hold any comments or fixes during the review process.
- Missing critical reception.
- I'm failing this article. It as little to no information (not Broad in its coverage), some serious issues in its prose, lead, sections missing and other need to be expanded as well as amended. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 16:42, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
