World Wars
Not sure what the relevant of either the sections dealing with the World Wars is? Neither deal with the actual war but rather parties held after the event. Can't find similar sections in other articles. Even Amiens only has two sentences for WWI! A case of overdue weight I think. Bjmullan (talk) 23:19, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
- The two sections are relevant as it deals directly with Tobermore and the wars or their effects/reactions. How is WP:UNDUE relevant here? What minority viewpoint is being pushed? Trying to compare to other articles is to introduce a red herring. Mabuska (talk) 10:56, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
- The section on the WWII is nothing to do with the war but an event that happened a year later. Do we mention every party that happening in the history of Tobermore? As for WWI section it's nothing but a long quote. Bjmullan (talk) 17:13, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
- Seeing as it was one of the very first Victory Day celebrations to take place in Northern Ireland i'd say its more that just a typical party and has significance. Maybe it could be given a different section heading, but it's still to do with WWII - was Victory Day not part of it? Mabuska (talk) 16:29, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
- Also if there was such problems with the sections how come with them this article still got a B rating? Mabuska (talk) 16:41, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
- Big improvement in the WWI article but the name change for the 1946 party doesn't really help as both VE and VJ happened a year earlier. Also just too much detail on the attendees. Just because a reference exists doesn't mean that we have to use it. Bjmullan (talk) 21:40, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
- It is still relevant to the event. I disagree about too much detail on the attendees. Mabuska (talk) 17:54, 4 October 2011 (UTC)

Wilkinsons
It looks to me that both father and son have sufficient references and notability to have their own article(s) and then the information here could be cut back. Any thoughts? Bjmullan (talk) 18:28, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
- I agree, they have enough information for a stub of their own. Mabuska (talk) 16:26, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
- Just created Hiram Shaw Wilkinson and so cut down on their information in this article to the specifics of their relevance to Tobermore. Will work on Hiram Parkes Wilkinson soon enough, though would like to know where the IP got all of their information from. Mabuska (talk) 18:25, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
- I suggested that the IP created an account but heard nothing back. I was thinking that maybe one article (Wilkinson of Tobermore or something like that) might have been another idea, but as you have already created the first article lets just go with that. Bjmullan (talk) 21:42, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
- I had thought of that as well, but the title just doesn't seem to sound or fit right. Mabuska (talk) 17:52, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
