Ōzeki promotion

edit

Please correct me if I am wrong, but the standard procedure for listing a sumo wrestler as Ōzeki here is to wait for an official announcement from the Sumo Association (even with these particular circumstances)? JRHorse (talk) 13:57, 26 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

@JRHorse: Yes. Promotions for new ozeki are normally announced a few days after the tournament, but as this is a re-promotion there may be nothing official until the new banzuke is released. Either way, he is not technically an ozeki yet. Pawnkingthree (talk) 16:08, 26 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Change page name

Japanese names should be written first name, last name, no? Look, for example, at Shinzo Abe's page. I recommend we change the page name to Tsuyoshi Tochinoshin Obliviblob (talk) 05:45, 6 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

See WP:JATITLE. Names of sumo wrestlers are generally treated as pseudonyms, and they are always presented in the sumo world in the traditional family name first order. Pawnkingthree (talk) 12:37, 6 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
