Talk:Tollkeeper's cottages in Ontario

Latest comment: 5 years ago by Geo Swan in topic status quo ante

"province's" or "Province's"

edit

Originally what is now southern Ontario was a province of the UK, "Upper Canada". A couple of decades before Canadian Confederation, Lower Canada]] was merged with Upper Canada, to form the Province of Canada. After Confederation, we had Ontario.

These tollkeeper's cottages were in use during all three periods. So, multiple provinces', or should it be multiple "Provinces'". Geo Swan (talk) 18:34, 5 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

status quo ante

edit

I restored the references to status quo ante. An IP contributor reverted that. And I reverted them, restoring status quo ante, again.

WP:CITEVAR says "Editors should not attempt to change an article's established citation style merely on the grounds of personal preference..." which I believe supports not making edits to metadata for purely esthetic reasons. Geo Swan (talk) 17:42, 6 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
