Can somebody please explain to me what exactly makes Besiktas a "Giant"? Perhaps the fact that it's only 5 years ago that they won the Turkish title for the last time, or maybe the fact that they never won a European trophy? Ok, they won the Turkish Cup in 2007, and are a part of the "Big 4", but Trabzonspor is also part of that and they haven't won the title for as long as I can remember (the last title won by Trabzonspor was in 1983/84).

Anyways, all I was trying to say is that I don't think Besiktas deserve to be called Giants, only Galatasaray and (unfortunately) Fenerbahce are real Giants, as they are the only two clubs who are real title candidates, year in year out. UmutK (talk) 17:09, 15 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
