Tidied up some messy syntax
editSlight edit
Tidied up some messy syntax. Now reads "...his body hanging in his back garden from a willow tree," rather than "his body hanging in his backyard on a willow tree." Evans had a garden not a "yard", and you hang from something, not on it. Guv2006 (talk) 10:33, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
- When I listen to Evans' singing on the bridge of the Badfinger song "Maybe Tomorrow," I am reminded of the early singing of Rush bassist Geddy Lee ("Best I Can" comes to mind). 75.106.93.250 (talk) 07:09, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
Edit: Evans taking his own life while having cowritten "Without You," or more specifically the lyrics of its chorus, is not at all ironic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.193.117.57 (talk) 04:37, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
"Physical threats"?
editRead this sentence, "the trio of Evans, Gibbins and Jackson said they found themselves stranded in the U.S. without tour dates, food, money and much duress from physical threats" and I think this statement needs some context. What is the source of these physical threats? Are you implying that music promoters were going to beat them up? That sounds highly unlikely. 69.125.134.86 (talk) 15:42, 27 April 2013 (UTC)
Jr
editUntil a source is provided saying he was known as and called himself Thomas Evans Jr is provided, I think it should be removed from the article. This is an American appellation and I very much doubt an Englishman called himself this. Also it’s definitely not his birth name because Jr wouldn’t be on the birth certificate. Again, not British. I’m going to be bold and remove. 86.155.96.203 (talk) 20:05, 25 April 2021 (UTC)
