Assess : newly added and existing articles, maybe nominate some good B-class articles for GA; independently assess some as A-class, regardless of GA status.
Cleanup : * Sport governing body (this should-be-major article is in a shameful state) * Field hockey (History section needs sources and accurate information - very vague at the moment.) * Standardize Category:American college sports infobox templates to use same font size and spacing. * Sport in the United Kingdom - the Popularity section is incorrect and unsourced. Reliable data is required.
* Fix project template and/or "to do list" Current version causes tables of content to be hidden unless/until reader chooses "show."

I have gone through and added references to the obituary in The Age and to afltables.com. However, these really only establish the barest facts of his career. If someone has access to the book The Hafey Years - Reliving a golden era at Tigerland then they could usefully add many more citations.
I am also unable to find references for many of the statistics cited, and some of the sources I have found contradict each other (and sometimes themselves). For instance, the obituary at the Herald Sun claims both that he coached 522 and 521 games, while afltables.com lists only 480. I assume the latter only covers AFL and not VFL games, or perhaps doesn't cover his career at Shepparton. If someone has a source for these statistics, please add it. Hi. The AFL Tables page for Hafey's coaching record can be a bit misleading at first glance. The 480 is for the home and away season only, the 522 includes finals and is listed under "totals" to the right. I don't have the Hafey book, but do have some others which use 522 and will add them to the page. Thanks. Jevansen (talk) 02:03, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
