I deleted the trivia entry which stated that there had been plans for the crew to see a clip from "Bonanza" on the viewscreen while in the past. This gag, to establish that the Enterprise had traveled back in time to late-1960s Earth, was actually to have been in the episode "Assignment: Earth," but was deleted from the script before it was filmed. Introduction is wrong...

In the episode, the crew of the USS Enterprise travels back to 1960s Earth, however an accident occurs and they must correct damage to the timeline. [Huh? in watching the episode, the crew wants to PREVENT damage to the timeline, not CORRECT it. This is why they wanted to hold on to the pilot until they find out his progeny had an important event in history. 40th Anniversary Remastering removed

On July 31, 2013, @Koavf removed the section on "40th Anniversary Remastering" in this article and many others related to Star Trek episodes. Why did this happen and why wasn't these sections added back? The episode "Tomorrow is Yesterday" is one of my favorite Star Trek episodes, and it was nice to see the changes that were made to the most recent version. Mentioning of First Moonshot before Apollo 8

Would it be interesting to include in the article that the episode mentions the "first manned moonshot" "in the late 1960s", before that event actually had occurred? The first manned moonshot was Apollo 8. The episode was aired almost 2 years before the Apollo 8 mission took place. So the producers took a (reasonable) guess, but didn't actually know to full certainty, that the first manned moonshot would occur within the 1960s.

Radio: "This is the 5:30 news summary, Cape Kennedy. The first manned moonshot is scheduled for Wednesday, 6. a.m. Eastern Standard Time. All three astronauts who are to make this historic..."

Kirk: "Manned moonshot? That was in the late 1960s."

Spock: "Apparently, captain, so are we."

They also predicted the first manned Saturn probe in 2019(?). Oops. But no, unless we have a reliable published source that discusses the moonshot prediction in depth, we shouldn't mention it. Star Trek typically made forward looking predictions. Some were quite reasonable, such as the moonshot, while others missed the mark quite widely, the Eugenics Wars being a big one.
