Cleanup
editThis page desperately needs a cleanup. Those photos are not of Tony Mokbel. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.14.20.2 (talk) 12:05, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

I've fixed it, with the picture I think we all agree on.... Colliric (talk) 15:49, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
Did Mokbel escape detention?
editA category was recently added to the bottom of the article: 'Escapees from Victoria detention'. I wonder if this may be inaccurate. Mokbel is accused of breaking his bail conditions and fleeing from Australia, but did he actually "escape detention" in Victoria? If not, then the category should be removed. --Lester 04:36, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
- Mokbel had been released on bail when he absconded. -- Longhair\talk 05:25, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
- Does that classify as escaping from detention?--Lester 05:30, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
- IANAL, so I've raised the question at the Australian Wikipedians' notice board in the hope of clearing up this technicality. -- Longhair\talk 10:57, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
- No, he didn't escape "detention" because, as you both say, he was freed on bail and just broke his bail conditions when he fled and then failed to appear. I don't like the category "Escapees from Victoria detention" anyway and I'm going to comment on the AWNB section. Sarah 17:09, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
Wasn't Carl Williams convicted of ordering the murder of Lewis Moran? This article suggests Mokbel was responsible. Shouldn't it clarify? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.104.3.138 (talk) 11:05, 15 November 2010 (UTC)
They were both charged with it. Colliric (talk) 11:32, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
