Capitalisation
editThe IOC name for this species is "Tooth-billed Bowerbird" and the WP Project Birds also uses this capitalisation. Snowman (talk) 14:17, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
- WP:BIRDS doesn't own the bird articles. All of the articles that the wikiproject has been using "pet admins" to move for them in a continuing WP:FAITACCOMPLI, like this one (see top of Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Birds/Archive 61#Capitalisation), should be moved back and subjected to normal WP:RM discussion. You know full well that this capitalization scheme advanced by the project has been controversial for nine years running. Furthermore, Wikipedia never endorsed IOC names as "official" or a "standard" here, and doing so would present significant WP:NOR problems. IOC names frequently conflict with WP:Article titles policy because they are not the WP:COMMONNAMES. — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ≼ 23:39, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
