Torajiro Saito → Torajirō Saitō – WP:JTITLE. No evidence in the article (both sources are in Japanese) that he is discussed in English-language sources under the macron-less spelling, and even if he was discussed somewhere it would need to be extensive and widespread. elvenscout742 (talk) 03:56, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
Survey
edit- Oppose - yet another silly and pointless requested move. Some people have too much free time. JoshuSasori (talk) 04:14, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
- Please stop making ad hominem arguments. This is far less of a time-waster than your constant move requests the other way. Comment here if you have something important to say about the proposed move; don't comment here if you just want to undermine me. elvenscout742 (talk) 04:26, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
- In fact I do have something important to say about the proposed move, which is that it is yet another silly and pointless requested move. JoshuSasori (talk) 04:33, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

- Comment - article isn't very well sourced. Added Joseph L. Anderson, Donald Richie The Japanese Film: Art and Industry 1982 Page 198 "One of the earliest of the postwar comedies was Torajiro Saito's The Emperor's Hat (Tenno no Boshi), made in 1950 and incorporating a plot which before the war would have constituted a severe political crime." added the film to the list as well. Cheers. In ictu oculi (talk) 15:10, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose. Richie is the jiushi of Japanese film critics, so if "Torajiro Saito" is good enough for him, it's good enough for me. See also The Toho Studios Story (2008) and Asian Film Journeys (2010). Kauffner (talk) 23:36, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose. The English-language references quoted indicate that the subject's name is widely used in English without macrons. --DAJF (talk) 07:32, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
