This seems incorrect
editAccording to the Toronto Star (1999, August 6, p. 1), the opposite is true. According to that article, the Toronto Area Transportation Authority (not Toronto Area Transportation Operating Authority) was a provincial agency; GO Transit was transferred from that agency to the GTTA (i.e., Metrolinx), which at that point was regional level (GTA plus Hamilton; back then the GTHA apparently did not even exist), thus a downloading.
If the “Toronto Area Transportation Operating Authority” existed and was a local agency then there would have been no downloading. — al12si (talk) 19:43, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
