Merge

The Metropolitain Street Railway was extended to be come the Toronto and York, by moving north into York County towards Lake Simcoe. I don't see why we need an article for each component in the history of the same company... Oaktree b (talk) 14:48, 16 September 2014 (UTC)

I respectfully disagree. According to the book Riding the Radials, the Metropolitan Street Railway became the Metropolitan Line of the T&YRR a.k.a. the Lake Simcoe Line. Thus the T&YRR article should remain as the corporate umbrella for several lines while the Metropolitan article describes one of the T&YRR lines. When I have time I wish to expand the Metropolitan article to describe the line. The article on the North Yonge Railways is erroneous as it went only between Glen Echo and Richmond Hill; it did not go all the way to Sutton as the article implies but the Metropolitan Line did.TheTrolleyPole (talk) 00:39, 18 April 2016 (UTC)

The article Hydro Electric Railways, Toronto and York Division should be merged into Toronto and York Radial Railway as the former is merely a subset, or era, of the latter.TheTrolleyPole (talk) 21:40, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
