A fact from Toti Soler appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 17 May 2012 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that the music of Catalan guitarist Toti Soler has been described as beautifully capturing the "enigmatic mood" of "traumas and passions"?

I've removed the following from the article as it was either unsourced or not in the source provided: "In 2005, he received the Premio Nacional de Música de Cataluña (National Music Prize of Catalonia), awarded by the Generalitat of Catalonia, for his albums "L'arxiver of Tortosa", "Racconto" and "Guitar cançons i"..." (it appeared to be sourced to his biography on his website, but that document, or the English version at least that is linked here, doesn't mention those awards). The edit removing this material is here. I would normally have just added a 'citation needed' tag, but as a BLP, best practice is to remove the material and discuss sourcing on the talk page, which is what this talk page section is for. I've found (and am going to add) an independent source for the Creu de Sant Jordi award (see here), but have been unable to find a truly independent source for the 'Premi al Millor Disc Català de l'Any' award, and I'm not sure how reliable the Cervantes source is ("Guitarrísimo: Concierto de guitarra Toti Soler") for the SGAE award, as that may just be rehashing what is on Soler's website. Noting here that I've restored the removed text, as I found a source for it. The other awards that are still cited to the autobiographical website document still need better sources. Carcharoth (talk) 22:02, 12 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
