It was proposed in this section that Touhou Hisōtensoku be renamed and moved to Touhou Hisoutensoku.
Moved per general agreement below. Kudos to editors for your input, and Happy Publishing! (nac by page mover) P. I. Ellsworth, ed. put'r there 16:15, 8 November 2019 (UTC) Links: current log • target log

Touhou Hisōtensoku → Touhou Hisoutensoku – Hisoutensoku is the preferred romanization by game co-developer Twilight Frontier, as evidenced by these Apple Music listings. It is also the common English rendering among both the public and fan community, as demonstrated by Google Trends, Touhou Wiki, and Hisoutensoku Wiki. Support for the current romanization does otherwise seem to appear in official sources that I checked such as the game's cover art, the official site, and ZUN's blog. — Goszei (talk) 05:45, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
- None of the sources you provided in your support are reliable. And really, if multiple reliable sources use the romanization that the title of this article uses, I fail to see what the purpose of this merge proposal is. Namcokid47 (Contribs) 19:31, 1 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Namcokid47: I believe you were confused by my poor wording, the three official sources that I linked have failed to identify an official romanization. Because I was unable to find one there or in other official/reliable sources, I believe that under WP:COMMONNAME the article should use the common name among the public/fans, as identified for example by Google Trends and fan wiki projects. A Google search of "Touhou Hisōtensoku" should further corroborate my point that the "ou" romanization is the accepted one among the English-speaking community. — Goszei (talk) 21:06, 1 November 2019 (UTC)
- An addendum: After some further searching, I have found this official source (Apple Music) from the game's co-developer Twilight Frontier, which supports the "Hisoutensoku" romanization. I am updating the lead with this information. — Goszei (talk) 21:24, 1 November 2019 (UTC)

- Support. Google Trends helping to see which name is more commonly used (the entire point of WP:COMMONNAME) is a valid argument for requested moves. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 19:28, 2 November 2019 (UTC)
