- Toward Soviet America was written in the context of the 1932 Presidential election, in which William Z. Foster (the book's author) ran for President. So it was in some sense campaign literature; its "agenda" was to convince people to vote for Communist candidates and to support or join the Communist Party. --Ismail (talk) 15:32, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
