Talk:Toya Kinomoto

Does Toya belong in the LGBT characters in comics category?

I noticed that Yukito is listed in this category, and I think maybe Toya should be in it. It seems implied he's at least bisexual and it's hinted that at the end of the series he reciprocates Yukito's feelings. Thoughts? Katsuhagi 18:22, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

I do wonder why he was removed suddenly without any discussion, it seems a bit rushed to me. Granted very few Japanese comics are explicit in terms of sexual orientation, but Toya by the end does seem to show attraction to both Kaho and Yukito. This was also a young girls' comic, so the issue would probably only be addressed in hints. This just feels a bit too sudden to me especially since Yukito has been on that list for quite some time. I think Toya should be there, it seems stupid to have Yuki listed there without Toya as they are one of Clamp's official pairs. (Touyaniisama (talk) 03:09, 7 November 2008 (UTC))

Why are you answering a discussion well over a year old? -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 03:10, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

Honestly becasue I didn't look at the date. I'd have thought a discussion that old would have been taken down if resolved. It's assumable that because it's there, it hasn't been changed.(Touyaniisama (talk) 03:29, 7 November 2008 (UTC))

No, we never remove discussions just because of age. They are sometimes archived, but not deleted. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 03:39, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

Touya/Toya/Tōya

Any chance we could have some sort of consensus on this? Shiroi Hane 07:19, 28 October 2005 (UTC)

I go for Toya. And no, we don't care about "accuracy" of a romanization ('sides, Touya is not really any more accurate than Toya). TOKYOPOP and Geneon use Toya. WhisperToMe 06:19, 4 November 2005 (UTC)
I love "Touya" best, but it seems that romanization isn't as "standard" as the Hepburn romanization, which is why people are arguing Tōya. Since it's electronic, doing Tōya isn't much harder than Toya as far as typing it, but would it be a hassle anyway? As stated, English media uses Toya. --Crisu 11:08, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
I think Toya works best. Even to someone who didn't know Japanese I think the pronounciation is obvious enough. Katsuhagi 21:55, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

As commented in the article, we've settled on using Toya when referring to him in the Cardcaptor Sakura universe and using Tōya in the Tsubasa .. uh .. multiverse. --Crisu 03:55, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

I'm going to restate this since people have been editing it otherwise. I think I'll add a note at the top of the page about that. Katsuhagi 22:46, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

It's funny because the general consensus across the net seems to be that it's Touya not Toya, but either way, I don't really care as long as it's consistant through the article (I wouldn't care if it was changed as long as the all the spellings were changed on the page.) I have however added Miki-sama, since he's Touya's Seiyuu in TRC, and it seems strange that he was excluded from it. (Touyaniisama (talk) 03:24, 7 November 2008 (UTC))

Again, why are you responding to very old, completed discussions? The official English is Toya, so that's what we use. I have also reverted you addition as this article is about Toya in CCS, not Tsubasa. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 03:25, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

I left a message here as a curtesy to let you know I'd added useful information. He is Touya reguardless of the series, and the Yukito page has TRC refrences in it, I don't see why this page shouldn't have them either, and I fail to see why my TRC refs were erased when there were others made there by other people that were left in. But whatever, I've seen relevant info thrown out before in favour of how people want the page to look themselves, and will edit no matter what. I don't have the patience to argue this, so I don't care.(Touyaniisama (talk) 03:45, 7 November 2008 (UTC))

No, he is Toya in Cardcaptor Sakura. The Tsubasa characters have their own lists and character pages. They are not the same characters. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 03:47, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

The Mirror

I notice someone has deleted the section detailing Touya's relationship with the Mirror Card. Since it was unnecessarily long, I rather agree with that decision, but does anyone else feel differently? --KagamiNoMiko 07:42, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Personally I believe different and think it should be redirected to the Mirror's section in the Clow Card's list. trainra 07:47, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Um. I don't think I got what you meant. Do you want to take the deleted section and move it to The Mirror's entry? If so, no opposition from me.--KagamiNoMiko 14:58, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Yep, re-reading my post I see where you got confused, sorry. trainra 06:47, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
