Most of the typing and formatting and some of the fact finding was done by me (Wayne Stephenson) from original sources but a lot of the research and fact finding was done or double checked by Carhistorian from numerous reference books that he owns. Stepho-wrs 01:51, 28 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'd love to put in some photo's but most are copyright Toyota and I don't have any without copyright. Stepho-wrs 04:34, 15 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Police patrol cars

This has been gleaned from internet sources. These do not qualify as sources for Wikipedia, so I will put them here.

Toyota built many Police Patrol Cars based on their normal passenger cars.

Model Date source parts
SBXA Apr 1950 SB chassis, Kanto car body, police equipment

BDR 1951 SD chassis, KEPCO car body, police equipment, B engine
BDY 1951 SD chassis, KEPCO car body, police equipment, B engine
SEY Sept 1951 SE chassis, KEPCO car body, police equipment
BFR Oct 1952 SF chassis, KEPCO car body, police equipment, B engine
BHR RH chassis, KEPCO car body, police equipment, B engine
BH26 RH chassis, RS car body (extended nose), police equipment, B engine
FH26 RH chassis, RS car body (extended nose), police equipment, F engine

There was also a BH28 Ambulance. It was very similar to the BH26 Patrol Car except for the van style rear body and extended chassis. Stepho-wrs (talk) 04:40, 16 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Surviving AA?

edit

here is a photo of a surviving AA , there is no way this is a replica. --Þadius (talk) 14:57, 7 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hey, that's interesting. It has only surfaced very recently. Here's some more details I found by web searching.

But this is just a blog entry, so it's not reliable enough for WP. I will search around a bit more, try to find out which museum it is in and get an authoritive reference.  Stepho  (talk) 23:33, 7 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
