difference between the a340e and the a30-40le

what is the difference between the a340e and the a30-40le

A40 Series

A340E and the Supra Turbo

The A340E was used on all Supra turbos in the US Market. The A341 was used on the Lexus LS400, or Celsior if you prefer. The A341 has a taller first gear ratio 2.5:1, as opposed to the A340' first gear of 2.8:1

Toyota Supra again. In addition to the A341 used in the V8 models with its tall first gear, I forgot the A342 used in some Supras not sold in the US. The A342 was a performance transmission used in with the 1JZGTE engine.
