coasters in Australia
editOmni motorhomes is one of many companies that convert Coasters into motorhomes. Omni operates in Victoria metropolitan area of Australia. The Long wheel base BB20 ( 1988 ) with plug door is the prefered unit as it is large enough to fit an enclosed shower and toilet. There are many Coasters in Australia both privately owned and being used as school busses or hire companies. Jeff
Toyota Coasters in Latin America
editWhere these buses made or driven in Latin America? --Master of the Aztecs (talk) 03:09, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Please add trim levels and chassis model types example HB30, HB31, HB32, HZB50 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.32.121.32 (talk) 01:23, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
- Are you asking for only the Latin American models or for models in another country?
- Wikipedia is a community effort. Information is added whenever somebody has the information and the time. Most people have only a small view of the total information (maybe only for a single country or a limited range of years). I have information from 1969 to early 1984 (which just covers the first entry of the BB30 Standard model) but I don't have any of the other models you listed. Perhaps someone else does. Stepho talk 04:51, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
These are used in Central America, for instance, in Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua etc. A quick Google lookup will turn up a dealer for toyota that sells coasters in each of these countries. Coasters are also used in the Dominican Republic, Argentina, etc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ll1324 (talk • contribs) 19:25, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
Generations
editI have created sections for each generation, detailed the first generation and partially detailed the second and third generations. However, my detailed information only goes up to 1984. Could someone with more information after 1984 continue the details. Then the 'history' section can be shrunk or removed.
The 'variants' section and the photos can be moved into the various generations. Once I have more clues about which engines went in which generation, I plan to split the massive infobox into smaller generational infoboxes, leaving just the common stuff in the top infobox. Stepho talk 08:19, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
- Looks like that plan didn't come to fruition Stepho-wrs. U1 quattro TALK 07:04, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah, I haven't made the time to figure out which engine goes in which generation. One day... Stepho talk 22:11, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
Images
editDavey2010 I've had enough of your erratic editing behaviour. First you added more images to an article which already was littered with images. You then added images of coasters whih had adverts plastered on them and labelled them as the best. You're basically forcing your edits here which is inacceptable. U1 quattro TALK 12:17, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
- I added 3 rears which I considered to be the best out of those generations, You had a point inregards to the icons on the bus and whilst I didn't think the icons overall mattered I too generally prefer a non-plastered bus hence why I reinstated your image, Admittedly I didn't notice the gallery until it was pointed out to me however regardless of that the sections looked odd with no rears hence why I've added them,
- Calling my editing "erratic" is a personal attack and just because you disagree with my edit that doesn't make my editing "erratic",
- Given I've reinstated your image I would hope this has put an end this childish nonsense. –Davey2010Talk 15:34, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
- I pointed out the gallery to you the first time you started adding images but you won't pay attention to that. But okay, since you started to be cooperative, I'd back off. U1 quattro TALK 17:18, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
- Yes I know?....., Up until you pointed it out I had no idea it was even there, Thanks!. –Davey2010Talk 17:38, 16 March 2020 (UTC)

Clutter
editThere is no need for 18 pictures of the Coaster. Please restrain the gallery to one picture of each facelift - no need for shots of every subversion (lwb, LPG, high roof etc). Also, can we agree on using the pictures of buses with the least amount of distracting advertisements on them? I do not care if they are in Hong Kong or somewhere else, but there is no need to only show pictures of HK Coasters either.
Lastly, me and some ip both find the picture of the silver Coaster superior to the one favoured by Him9. More opinions are welcome, but for now its two votes (1.5 votes? IPs ought to register imho) versus one vote. Best, Mr.choppers | ✎ 01:54, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reminder Him9 (talk) 01:57, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- Okay I accept that mine is not good, but I hope that you won't put the previous one. Choose the next one that is we can all accept it. Him9 (talk) 02:00, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- Agreed that we should restrict the number of photos. However, I like the in-use pictures with bus liveries. I used to ride them when I lived in Hong Kong - the green and yellow HK picture brings back good memories. I saw heaps of them as public mini-buses and as school buses (mostly kindergartens for some reason) but I don't remember seeing them without some form of logo on the side. Stepho talk 02:10, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- Is there a Project Bus policy on this? Obviously buses are usually liveried, but I am more interested in the shape of the vehicle myself. Also, looking back at the history of this page it looks as if Him9 as been asked numerous times before to stop adding sooooo many redundant pictures (and only of Hong Kong buses) to the galleries. Mr.choppers | ✎ 02:17, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- Him9 is also switching all Coaster photos at other language articles to Hong Kong photos only. Mr.choppers | ✎ 02:29, 24 May 2020 (UTC)

Watermark can told us that whose the photo is belongs to.Not a problem Him9 (talk) 03:55, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
Mr choppers, the new one is still Inadequate viewfinder, use a Taiwanese version is better. Can we do a selection for voting a new photo?Tell the others to discuss with us together.e.g.user:LN9267 or SC96 Him9 (talk) 04:01, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- In each picture, the perspective is fine. I'd say that the illumination isn't ideal in any of these pictures, the reflections aren't ideal either, but the silver Coaster definitely looks the best to me. Best regards, --Johannes (Talk) (Contribs) (Articles) 12:02, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- First image should be used in the infobox as as everyone's noted it's the best one depicting that model - it's clean and has no ads etc,
- I also agree with the removal of images as there were far too many!. –Davey2010Talk 12:13, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- User:Him9 is repeating this in "Mitsubishi Fuso Rosa" (also in Chinese Wikipedia), and restored his/her poorer quality photograph as first image with no reason. 219.78.184.188 (talk) 14:50, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
- I agree with removal of images. Have seen many attempts to restore HK only images of coasters by this user previously for no apparent reason. U1 quattro TALK 02:49, 29 May 2020 (UTC)
