- Support the Texas one gets more (2,813) than the Japanese one (1,229)[[1]]. Move Toyota Stadium (disambiguation) to base name. Crouch, Swale (talk) 20:46, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- Support per nomination and Crouch, Swale. WP:NOPRIMARY. Also support Toyota Stadium (disambiguation) → Toyota Stadium. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 09:46, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
- Support. Page views over the past 6 months are clear that Toyota Stadium (Texas) gets more traffic.[2] And since the Japan one opened on 2001 and the Texas one opened in 2005, the four year difference provides no evidence of long-term significance. Zzyzx11 (talk) 23:23, 13 December 2020 (UTC)

Toyota Stadium (Japan) → City of Toyota Stadium – Natural disambiguation: Seems to be the most relevant name used in English-language sources (BBC, Guardian, Rugby World Cup). Clarifies that the stadium is named after its location rather than a title sponsor. HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 23:16, 30 May 2023 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: not moved. Participants felt that the proposed title was less WP:NATURAL; they also noted that the proposed title appears to be only used in sources discussing the Rugby World Cup, suggesting that it's not the WP:COMMONNAME in general usage. Toyota Stadium (Japan) → City of Toyota Stadium – Outcome of previous move request was reverted purely on the grounds of being an "undiscussed move" (that is to say, a requested move with no responses) with no further explanation given. As per above, "City of Toyota Stadium" is natural disambiguation and seems to be the most relevant name used in English-language sources (BBC, Guardian, Rugby World Cup). It also clarifies that the stadium is named after its location rather than a title sponsor. - Oppose - completely unnecessary move, per WP:AINTBROKE. The stadium's name and commonly used name is Toyota Stadium, not the awkward City of Toyota Stadium. It is disambiguated because there's another stadium with that name in Texas, but otherwise this is the correct name. — Amakuru (talk) 08:54, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
- Major sources like the BBC and Guardian clearly call it "City of Toyota Stadium", and I'm not really sure how that name is awkward, it's the main stadium in the city of Toyota. HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 18:46, 27 July 2023 (UTC)

- Oppose no evidence that this is actually the stadium's name. Even it's official site states it's English name is Toyota Stadium. You can't take what it is called in a World Cup or Olympic article because it's incredibly common for big events to use sponsored names or other names that differ from the locations actual name for traveller and attendee convenience (just look at any Olympic stadium list and match it up) and those are often temporary names for that event set only. All the sources for City of Toyota Stadium seem to be solely for the Rugby World Cup which falls under those rules. It's highly likely that the Rugby World Cup organisation called it City of Toyota Stadium to ensure people know where it was and not that it's just a stadium named after the automotive company. The stadium's own site doesn't even call it City of Toyota Stadium in Japanese, just simply Toyota Stadium. Canterbury Tail talk 20:47, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose as per Canterbury Tail above; every official source has the current name. TiggerJay (talk) 19:33, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
- We use WP:COMMONNAME, not WP:OFFICIALNAME. Sources like the BBC and Guardian are key indicators of a common name. HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 11:45, 23 August 2023 (UTC)
