Look

Unique hybrid look? How encyclopedic is that?! I don't really think it's relevant to the discussion at hand.--Folksong 19:56, 8 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

My wife says that is a deciding factor. How can we make sound more encyclopedic? Unique aerodynamic style? Hybrid only exterior? Daniel.Cardenas 20:34, 8 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Unique body design perhaps? I do understand that there are some who like having a visually unique hybrid though...--Folksong 00:57, 9 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
I changed it. Feel free to change it to something different. Daniel.Cardenas 02:44, 9 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Like Comparison of economical cars, I don't think this article stands on its own as anything but a buyer's guide. However, I think this table would be useful to the main Hybrid Synergy Drive article. AKADriver 14:00, 20 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Seems rather like an advert with list pricing and seating numbers - just my thoughts, but encyclopedic? Hmmm Mikesankey 15:52, 19 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

No Lexus?

edit

Lexuseses should be included since some of them are in fact Toyota hybrids. 162.83.132.225 21:05, 18 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Grossly Inaccurate?

edit

The fuel economy numbers do not match published values. The conversions from mpg to km/100liter are not even correct. Perhaps this page should be deleted, or completely reworked from scratch. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 164.214.1.54 (talk) 20:59, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Traction Battery

edit

Could we get a small note on this article about what Traction Battery power implies? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.66.201.240 (talkcontribs) 05:02, 23 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Electric output vs full output

edit

I know from research the the Prius I (japanese import) has 60kW traction motor (since I have one) and the Pruis II (first european) has an 80kW motor (my wife's). The new Pruis III has 100kW, but these figures don't seem to marry with the row headings. Also what is "Traction battery power"? Surely the author means "Traction Battery Capacity" in kWh or something. Not sure how a battery can impose a limit on something, that would more likely be the ECU software. Sure the battery can restrict the output by it's internal resistance, but that would not be significant enough. I have driven a Prius II on a motorway at 80mph without the use of the ICE so I know that figure must be wrong. This seems to be written by someone who doesn't understand electrics/electronics. O and ALL Priuses have Atkinson Cycle Engines including the Prius I. Toyota designed the engine specifically for it. 81.174.174.31 (talk) 10:56, 3 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

The conversions are okay as of the present. I did not verify the numbers with reliable sources. Besselfunctions (talk) 03:54, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello, A Toyota Hybrid is missing from this list. The Avalon Hybrid is missing. Please add this. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.248.34.103 (talk) 04:43, 17 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
