FAR too Specific

edit

This deals only with a narrow, (and biased) economics definition of Tranquility. There is no effort to explain this in broader terms, especially that of philosophy or religion.

This article simply is not good. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.132.168.237 (talk) 13:39, 9 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Tranquility, or tranquillity? The never ending question. 68.114.69.217 04:44, 12 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

I say, both, and have amended the article (with a citation) to reflect this. --Heath 24.127.115.128 15:43, 18 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Tranquillity is the UK english version, according to my dictionary... but since the single-l version returns twice as many results in Google, I suppose most Americans use this. WP:ENGLISH states that national differences (e.g. color/colour) are not important and both varieties are allowed unless the article discusses something related to a particular nation, so I think both are fine. Personally, I'd prefer to stick with the original, UK english spelling, just because... well, it's the original spelling :) Andreas Willow (talk) 09:10, 15 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Agreed. A 2:1 ratio is certainly not overwhelming, and that being so I think we should stick with usual practice in such cases, which is to keep whichever form was used in the original article. There's no reason to change - except, I suppose, if the one-L form even becomes the norm around the world. 86.154.15.160 (talk) 01:53, 16 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
