Cleaning up the hydride transfer equation

The hydride transfer equation is fine, but it uses "M" both as the transition metal and as the alkali or alkaline counter cation for the borohydride reductant. I have two recommendations for a fix: 1) generality has already been lost by specifying boron (as opposed to a generic that might include boron, aluminum, gallium, silicon, and germanium) so one might as well specify the counter cation, such as Na or Li. 2) Use M' or an alternate generic for the counter cation to maintain generality without confusing the issue with a reused generic metal variable. 131.215.32.217 (talk) 17:09, 19 July 2010 (UTC)NatReply

Hydricity of a proton

I see in article the concept of hydricity of a proton -76 kj/mol for the reaction H(+) + H(-) ---> H2. What is the connection to bond energy of hydrogen molecule? Is the heat of solution somehow involved in determining the hydricity?--188.26.20.56 (talk) 13:35, 8 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
