heterozygous parents?

I think the phrase "heterozygous parents" could be misleading as it makes one think of parents who are heterozygous themselves, while actually they could also be homozygous for different alleles. as far as I understand, those that matter are the counts of heterozygous offspring, not parents. if that's the case, an easy fix would be to replace the word "parents" with "offspring" in every occurrence of the phrase "heterozygous parents".
