Here is the basic fact that dramatically differentiates Hawaii's transportation from that of every other state: it is impossible to drive around it. How often does the typical Hawaiian travel to another island? Arriving there, do they tend to travel by rental car or bus? Such issues should be addressed in the opening paragraph.
