I have proposed this merge, between these about an anatomical substructures, for the following reasons:

1. Displaying this information on separate pages impacts on overall readability and quality. It leads to significant duplication, means that these articles, by virtue of being separate, do not receive as much attention as they otherwise would, and is unnecessary.
2. By presenting these in a single article, the overall quality of the information and readability would be improved.

Above or below the inferior belly of the omohyoid muscle?

I think it is incorrectly said that the transverse cervical artery passes above the inferior belly of the omohyoid muscle. The accompanying image depicts the transverse cervical artery as passing under it. My Netter and Sobotta atlases also depict it as passing below it. 2A02:2C40:400:0:4D40:2BEA:FE84:E1B0 (talk) 10:24, 9 July 2015 (UTC)

Wrong merge

Dorsal scapular artery (DSA) was merged to here, but it is wrong. As we can confirm from here, subclavian artery is more frequent source of DSA. Dorsal scapular artery page should remain as an independent page, not the redirect page.

We found that the dorsal scapular artery typically arises from either of two main sources: the subclavian artery (about 75% of all sides) or the transverse cervical artery (about 25% of all sides).

This merged page makes confusion to stucture of DSA, since DSA is usually explained as the last branch of subclavian artery at Subclavian artery#Braches. We can also check it from other reliable source.[1]

The dorsal scapular artery (or descending scapular artery) is an artery that supplies the levator scapulae, rhomboids, and trapezius muscles. It most frequently arises from the second or third part of the SCA.

LR0725, this can be closed per WP:SILENCE if you still think it is a good idea. This is quite an old proposal at this point so it should either be merged or templates cleaned up. Kimen8 (talk) 21:21, 26 December 2023 (UTC)

I'm just getting back around to looking at this now. The DSA article before merge was <3,000 characters, and was only 3 brief paragraphs. So now I'm wondering if it is better to be a stub or just be integrated into this article as it is. I think instead of separating it back out, perhaps the DSA section in this article could be beefed up? This is not an area where I can contribute any content really.
