Given just how high-profile the incidents are, I feel like the transvestigations and consequences thereof of Imane Khelif and Yuting Lin are noteworthy enough to deserve subheadings, or at least some sort of mention, should reputable enough sources be available. Special notice could go towards how in Khelif's case her opponent Luca Hámori fully bought into the conspiracy theories surrounding her and how in Lin's case there was significant socio-political fallout among the populace and government of Taiwan towards Robert Gilbraith for her large role in the proliferation of the disinformation campaign against her. Speculation about the motives for the deprecated IBA's actions towards the two athletes is probably outside the scope of the article proper, but their decision being the inciting incident is probably important enough.
Less on the topic of specific people and more on the phenomenon more generally, I believe the pseudoscientific methodologies used to determine who is/is not an "invert" should be given more prominence in the article's text (for example, the assumption of an exaggerated Q-angle that is visible to the naked eye through clothes in photographs and videos, usually of the subject mid-step, as well as the unreliable nature of the Adam's apple as a secondary sex characteristic). There likely isn't much literature to cite on the reasoning these people use and how they rationalize it to themselves, but hopefully the coming years can fill that gap in the field of sociology. 71.186.128.168 (talk) 23:11, 10 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
