It currently reads: "Gates had a lot in common with Trapper, as he had served in a M.A.S.H. during the Korean War." I never watched this program but isn't it more likely that the younger doctor had served with a MASH unit in Viet Nam? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.245.70.2 (talk) 17:11, 28 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

The links in the title card for both Christopher Norris and Brian Mitchell are incorrect. The Christopher Norris in Trapper John is a female; the link is to a male. The "Brian Mitchell" link takes you to a football player; it should take you to the entry for "Brian Stokes Mitchell," who is the actor from Trapper John. He added his middle name to his stage name after the series ended.

"From Doctor Who to Surgeon Who"

edit

Made an edit at the beginning of the article from "lovable doctor who" to "surgeon who" in order to prevent confusion with the TV series Doctor Who. --The Shadow Treasurer (talk) 06:28, 17 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Looking for help writing an article about the spin-offs and crossovers of this series

edit

I am writing an article about all of the series which are in the same shared reality as this one through spin-offs and crossovers. I could use a little help expanding the article since it is currently extremely dense and a bit jumbled with some sentence structures being extremely repetitive. I would like to be able to put this article into article space soon. Any and all help in writing the article would be appreciated, even a comment or two on the talk page would help. Please give it a read through, also please do not comment here since I do not have all of the series on my watch list. - LA @ 17:51, 16 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Spinoff of the movie?

edit

Well, legally it's considered a spinoff of the movie, but if you watch the first episode, the photos on the wall near the start of the episode are from M*A*S*H the TV series. There's a picture of Alan Alda with Wayne Rogers in front of the Swamp.. so maybe it was only considered a spinoff of the movie just because of royalty costs? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.169.221.42 (talk) 13:50, 2 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, that's what I was wondering. I distinctly remember those photos on the wall in the premiere episode, too.76.6.217.8 (talk) 14:31, 4 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

On what basis was it determined not to be a spin-off of the movie? --Reverend Edward Brain, D.D. (talk) 00:30, 16 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Created by Richard Hooker?

edit

Was that the same Richard Hooker that wrote the original novel? His real name was Richard Hornberger, and unlike most of the characters in the movie and TV series, he supported the Korean War.76.6.217.8 (talk) 14:34, 4 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
