Part of an edit requested by an editor with a conflict of interest has been implemented.
Hi! I'm a COI editor for BrightDrop, a client of FleishmanHillard, a sister agency of my employer Porter Novelli. A few edit requests for this article:
At end of "Early life and education", delete Katz currently resides with his family in Menlo Park, California.[1], which is redundant of the beginning of "Personal life".
The second source cited in the "World Bank" subsection of "Career" is authored by Katz and not independent, so I think it makes sense to delete that second sentence entirely.
In "Trip.com" subsection, update
Following the acquisition, Katz worked as VP, Product for Skyscanner (a CTrip company), where Trip.com's reviews and predictive intelligence was integrated.[2]
to
Following the acquisition, Katz worked as vice president of product for Skyscanner, a Ctrip company, where Trip.com's reviews and photos were integrated.[3]
The source in the original text doesn't substantiate the information, so I swapped in a new source and tweaked the text to reflect.
Add to end of BrightDrop:
Under Katz's leadership, BrightDrop secured contracts with Walmart[4][5] and Merchants Fleet,[6][7] as well as an agreement to develop service vehicles for Verizon.[8][6] The company also delivered its first vehicles, purpose-built for commercial delivery, to FedEx in December 2021.[9][10]
In "Personal life", update first sentence from
Katz lives with his wife and 2 children in Menlo Park, California.
Partly done: The Career section was blank at the time of my edit, so I could not do your request there and decided to delete it completely. Everything else done. casualdejekyll02:04, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Casualdejekyll: Thanks for your help! I believe the Career section was empty because it encompassed the four sub-sections covering Katz's career (World Bank through BrightDrop) – cf. Jeff Bezos#Business career. Given that, would it be OK to restore the section header? Right now it looks like each of the career subsections is a subsection of "Education and early life" instead. Also, the sentence I'm proposing deleting is in the "World Bank" section: In 1996, he joined the World Bank-United Nations Development Program Water and Santiation Program, where he led research on how to improve the sustainability of investments in clean drinking water in emerging markets.[12] Finally, double checking if it's possible to add the "website" parameter to the infobox as I described in my first bullet above. Thank you again! Mary Gaulke (talk) 21:10, 7 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
@MaryGaulke I have no clue how I missed that! Man, I can be dense sometimes. Go ahead: I have reviewed these proposed changes and suggest that you go ahead and make the proposed changes to the page. casualdejekyll16:22, 14 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
