Ukrainian Origin
editDoes Trent has ukrainian origin? Because Kowalik is ukrainian last name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.179.252.170 (talk) 11:08, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
The only way it could be a Ukrainian surname would be if the name had origins from the Polish and Ukrainian word for Smith - Kowal - however Kowalik is Polish for nuthatch so this surname has Polish roots. I'd be interested to know where the Irish ancestry came from with an obviously Polish surname.
