My name is Trevor Montague and i have logged on to Wikipedia to try and resolve the dispute in my entry.
I can confirm that i have not written a word of my entry nor recognise any of the names in the history so have no clue as to who the writers are, however judging by the quite negative slant in some areas i hardly think it was written by a fan. If it were i would imagine they would copy some of the more positive biographical info from my website for instance my bronze medal in the National Fitness Championships (Zest Peugeot Challenge) in 2000 at the age of 45. From an original field of over 10,000 i made the final 12 in Coventry and the third place was one of my proudest moments. Although i can confirm the information written is fairly accurate it is hardly flattering to accuse me of dishonesty as per my second appearance on 15-to-1. I don't consider myself to be dishonest but i can quite understand in the strict sense of the word how my prank could be described as such.
I actually feel quite flattered that people have taken the time to write an article about me as i do not consider myself very interesting or at all worthy of it but as i say i can confirm the entry is fairly accurate.
As a bit of a pedant and someone who spends a lot of time in research myself the only neutral nugget of information i could offer (as it is really frustrating when i cannot find this sort of thing) is that i was born in Charing Cross Hospital, London. As i spent a lot of time in Ireland as a child it is often thought i was born there but alas no i am a Londoner by a quirk of fate.
I have included my email address if you would like any further information
Merry Christmas to you
