Some give the authorities for this plant as Rottler & Willd. However, APNI states:
Authorship of this name is given by some authors (e.g. B.D.Jackson, Index Kew. 2(2): 1101 (1896)) as "Rottler & Willd.". However, in the protologue the name is attributed to Willdenow alone and he is acknowledged on p. 180 as having provided additional botanical notes on Rottler's specimens. Authorship is thus here accepted as ascribed under ICN Art. 46.2 (Melbourne Code, 2012).
