on the Idyll's main article, the date appears to have been the 25th Dec. we need a ref. check
Here's a ref. This is very often a matter of confusion. Cosima was born on 24 December, Christmas Eve, but apparently always celebrated her birthday the following day, Christmas Day, and that is when the Siegfried Idyll was first performed. Older sources often say her actual birthday was 25 December, but they are wrong. Even that ref I provided says the Idyll's premiere coincided with her birthday. It didn't, but it coincided with the day on which she celebrated her birthday.
