The result of the move request was: moved. Unopposed after two weeks. Jenks24 (talk) 14:53, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
Trichophaga tapetzella → Carpet moth – per WP:COMMONNAME. Also note that move should be to a page with a lowercase "m" for moth— currently the redirect is from "Carpet Moth" (capital "M"). Would move myself but current redirect page has an edit history of two, so need admin assistance. Thanks! – KDS4444Talk 01:48, 1 November 2015 (UTC) Relisted. - This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 06:08, 1 November 2015 (UTC)
- Hang on a minute, it seems the situation is more complicated than this... I still think a move is in order but am not entirely certain which article goes where at the moment. Give me a second or two to sort this out, yes? KDS4444Talk 02:05, 1 November 2015 (UTC)
- Seems there is a charlie foxtrot here with regard to the terms "clothes" and "clothing", the presence or absence of a hyphen, and then the words "moth" or "Moth", with a total of eight possible combinations but no consistent pattern of application. I'd like to see Tineidae moved to clothes moth per WP:COMMONNAME and then assign these variants to it. Will then follow up with additional changes to lead paragraph of Tineola bisselliella. Eghad. Oh, and Trichophaga tapetzella still needs to get moved to carpet moth.KDS4444Talk 04:14, 1 November 2015 (UTC)
- @KDS4444: Likely several sorts of moths or other insects attack carpets. The Linnaean name is precise. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 06:08, 1 November 2015 (UTC)
