Pearl nature and production
editThe article's source for pearl production relates to only the T. gigas species, and the link doesn't go to the original source, but rather a reference of it. I was unable to find Kenneth R. Wye's 1991 book The Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Shells at three local libraries, including a university, and suggest someone hunts down the actual information for the whole genus. The Bivalvia class contains the scope of nacreous mollusks, and no article between class and genus provided information of exclusively non-nacreous creatures. 88.193.133.174 (talk) 11:31, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
