Colorful?

Colorful? In a small telescope everything (except individual stars) is black and white. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.96.144.234 (talk) 14:46, 4 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

It's also not much of an "amateur astronomer's favorite". At least not without a source. I'm going to remove part of that sentence.The2crowrox (talk) 07:52, 6 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Actually, a google search turned up a Science Daily article that refers to it as an "astronomer's favorite", and come to think of it, it *is* colorful, it's just that the human eye only percieves black and white (and blue) in dim light. Nebula filters or long-exposure photographs would reveal it to be colorful. So I'll leave that sentence alone and add a reference.The2crowrox (talk) 08:02, 6 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

In my book it said 7,600 light years instead of 5,200. Is that wrong?
